In reference to heart rates you may have a 40 bpm resting heart rate, thats totally at rest, as soon as you stand up it will climb, if you demand everything that you can get out of your body then your heart rate will soar to maybe 200 bpm, not sure where a fit athlete will top out. Once you have a chance to rest when you finish your heart rate will quickly fall again. Its your ability to control and sustain a high heart rate that allows you to do what these guys do.
At 1min, it states a resting HR start at 40bpm and finish at 45/46bpm. Anybody understands what that means? Does it refer to a heart-rate of 40bpm during the first part of the TT(maybe 1km into the ITT) or before the TT?

Wow, these are amazing. I wish I saw these earlier in the Tour. Next year maybe?
Excellent Le Tour videos, and Daniel Lloyd is a great cycling spokesperson. Really added to the overall viewing experience.
