I got hit by a car two weeks ago. I did a tuck and roll. It helped but I was lucky that someone put fown some concrete to help stop my fall. I only reveived broken bones and cuts to my arm, hands, legs and face. I would like to thank the purple Hyundai for ending my cycling career early on so I didn’t get my hopes up. I was only shooting for my first win in 2013. No big deal.
on the going over the handlebar example I’m not being funny or anything but I would never tuck and roll. Because swear you can damage your neck if you do it wrong, and most times your not gonna roll like that just fall on your back with your bike on top of you.
And i would rather have a broken arm/ wrist, compared with a broken back /neck!
if you consider yourself a cyclist and didn’t know this allready…. then you are not a cyclist!
ahhhh the good ol’ day’s where you used your brain and figured this stuff out naturally…
p.s no im not quite sure why i clicked this video!
ive fallen like in the very last example(i extended the right hand towards the ground), but on wet road with white road stripes. its been almost 2 months and the base of my thumb still hurts 🙁
do you think its that bad ? now i cant bench press for my life ’cause the thumb is forced back.
Fell Friday and broke my elbow, but at least my bike is ok ,i was in the shed today and I was sure it laughed at me do .then it could have been the ten tablets I took for the. Blood infections
Correct me if I’m wrong, but according to the venerable Sheldon and Brandt, the lower pressure in the wheels adds a negligible amount of traction at the expense of absorbed energy from your pedal stroke. Do the pro’s really take this advice? I doubt it, but I might be totally wrong, too.

LOL EXPLOSION IN THE BACK OF PELETON ! 🙂 do not turn !
I’d certainly get it checked out.
I asked the douches at my LBS and they just smiled.
At-least someone cares about riders safety during a crash.
Thank you cycling secrets!

…nice work. Thanks.
cool video, I’m suscribing!
Great clip
i prefer a 75/25 split on my breaks, even down tuned rear brakes for comfort.
Fun animation! Love your videos sand tips.
Gotta try these out sometime ; )
